Senior students benefit from industry insights

Today was a fun day in the Design and Technology Department with a whole day focused on industry connections and visual communication.

Our Year 9 and 11 Textiles students enjoyed the morning with Prue from Illystrate who shared her expertise in visual communication and fashion illustration.

Our Year 11 Textiles students then had the afternoon with Sally Jackson who challenged their creativity with fun design drawing activities and innovative thinking skills. The Resistant Material students had Paola Iglesoas (Engineer/Architect) via Zoom to discuss carer opportunities beyond school in this field.

Our Year 10 students were architects for the day, designing and drawing their creative solutions to the presented brief. Jenna Rowe (Architect) mentored them to produce innovative and sustainable design solutions.
