Withering Weathering Rodrick by Jacqueline Truong, 2017.

The Grace Cossington Smith Gallry at Abbotsleigh is delighted to launch ART NORTH, an exhibition that will now be an annual event for the School.

ART NORTH presents works developed by Visual Arts students for assessment in the 2017 HSC examination.

It celebrates the artistic strength of student art in Sydney’s North Shore and includes works by 35 young artists from 15 secondary schools in the region.

Students worked in a range of expressive forms to achieve accomplished and thought-provoking works of art.

Included in the exhibition are works by Isabella Gerardi (Ravenswood) who was 1st in the state for Visual Arts and Jacqueline Truong (Abbotsleigh) who was 8th in the state.

You are invited to join us on Saturday 3 March for the ART NORTH opening at the gallery from 2-4 pm.
