2020 Grant winner Nina Dunn (Tesoriero)

LighthouseForTheCommunity-WEB

Nina Dunn (Tesoriero, 1995) is involved with and has applied for this grant on behalf of Lighthouse for the Community, which is an organisation that provides frontline support for those experiencing domestic and family violence.

We all know that domestic violence affects all communities, and often women and children suffer in silence. Lighthouse for the Community aims to assist those who want to move forward from their domestic violence experiences by helping to set goals to end the cycle of abuse and prevent welfare dependence.

One of the key factors in paving the way for a more secure and independent future is the ability to enter the workforce. Therefore, we are very proud to help support a pilot program for the provision of training and resumé writing workshops, and one-on-one case management and support with employment identification.
