Jill Colebourn (2013)
Jill Colebourn (2013) is an Australian biathlete. She was the first Australian woman in Biathlon to finish an International Top 30 Mass start Biathlon Race. She competed in the Australian Biathlon Open Sprint Champion three years in a row (2014, 2015, 2016). She was awarded a scholarship to study Mechatonic Engineering and Commerce at the University of Sydney. “I really enjoy my studies and I feel that engineering is a great fit for me as I love maths and I like the creativity of making and developing products or projects of my own,” said Jill. When not competing, Jill loves hiking. After the Asian Winter Games in Japan, she climbed Mt Yotei, an inactive volcano adjacent to Nisko Ski resort in Japan. Jill is a mathematics tutor as well as a qualified ski instructor and coach with the Australian Biathalon Association.
