Odd Sock Day at Abbotsleigh

By Natasha Huang | SRC Prefect
Today the SRC hosted Odd Socks Day at Abbotsleigh. As part of the SRC’s Term 4 theme ‘Project Positive,’ Odd Socks Day focused on improving the awareness around mental health. Just like the odd socks we will be wearing, we can have our occasional odd days. By wearing colourful and odd matching socks to and from school, we hope to help stomp out the stigma surrounding mental health.
Because one in seven young Australians experience a mental health condition, it is vital that we remember to always look out for our friends and family, because a small action can mean so much more.
Girls were encouraged to bring a gold coin donation to help support the cause, and it was wonderful to see so many teachers and staff join in the fun.
