Jump Rope for Heart

To celebrate the 35th year of Jump Rope for Heart, the Junior School teachers had the idea to flash mob the girls with their skipping prowess – at this year’s campaign launch, no less – and in 80s attire!

Then Channel 9’s Today show got wind of our idea. Despite the added pressure of a film crew wanting in on this exciting launch, some very brave teachers developed their Connie Confidence and Pete Persistence skills by learning a routine (choreographed by none other than our resident dance and Year 2 teacher, Mrs Elyse Devereux) to catch the girls by surprise in a flash mob skipping sensation!

The launch featured a special presentation by Emma Howlett from the Heart Foundation, and culminated with national skipping champion, Saskia Beletich in Year 5, showcasing some of her impressive skipping tricks!
