Final results for Abbotsleigh girls at the Commonwealth Games swimming trials

We're very proud of our four Abbotsleigh girls who competed at last week's Commonwealth Games Swimming Trials 2018 on the Gold Coast. Their outstanding results are as follows:

Holly Nelson (Year 10)
o 50 m butterfly, 28.21 (29th)  
o 100 m freestyle, 57.59 (31st)
o 50 m freestyle, 26.26 (22nd) PB

Emily Ong (Year 11)
o 100 m backstroke, 1:05.77 (30th)
o 50 m butterfly, 28.43 (30th)
o 100 m butterfly, 1:04.01 (47th)
o 50 m backstroke, 30.06 (17th)
o 50 m freestyle, 27.38 (57th)

Natasha Ramsden (Year 12)
o 50 m butterfly (heats), 27.07 (7th) PB
o 50 m butterfly (final), 27.10 (6th)
o 100 m freestyle, 55.97 (12th) PB
o 50 m freestyle (heats), 25.37 (5th) PB
o 50 m freestyle (final), 25.39 (6th)

Rebecca St Vincent (Year 11)
o 50 m butterfly, 27.96 (25th) PB
o 100 m butterfly, 1:02.88 (33rd)
o 50 m freestyle, 27.03 (50th) 

 
All the girls look ahead to IGSSA in March and Australian Age Nationals in Sydney in April.

This is the first time a group of girls has attended the Australian Open Championships. Congratulations girls.
