Farewell to Year 12 Class of 2016

ABBA-tsleigh farewell

Year 12 v Staff Soccer

Farewell to our Year 12 students and Class of 2016. The girls in the past couple of weeks have reflected and celebrated on their time at Abbotsleigh  during a Valedictory Chapel Service with each girl presented with a yellow rose; a Farewell Assembly;  a Valedictory Dinner with parents; a lunch hosted by the Abbotsleigh Old Girls Union; and other fun activities including an ABBA-tsleigh themed day. The girls also were victorious against the staff in a Debating Challenge and also at a soccer match on the top oval.

"The Year 12 vs. staff soccer match was a nail-biting game. Staff kicked off the game with great skill and finesse, scoring them a goal soon into the first half. Year 12 immediately upped their gameplay to the calibre of their costumes. While some scrambled for possession, others resorted to not-so-conventional tactics that saw staff falling on to the grass as a few more than 11 year 12 players continued to play on. With the support of a cheering crowd, Year 12 managed to secure 2 goals, winning them the game," wrote Year 12 student, Georgia Henderson-Smith.
