BrainWays Quest win

Two Abbotsleigh teams entered the BrainWays Quest Competition in November. We are delighted to announce that both teams won first place overall in their respective age competitions.

The BrainWays Quest includes students from around Australia and South East Asia participating in challenges that require them to use creativity, problem solving, ingenuity and team work.

This year, the girls investigated the theme of A Shared Understanding of Reality within the disciplines of mathematics, science and the humanities.

All girls worked well as a team on each of the challenges.

Our K-3 team placed first in Maths, second in Science and third in Humanities, which placed them first overall.

The Year 4-6 team came second in Maths, second in Humanities and first in Science, placing them first overall.

The K-2 team comprised of Cate Atkinson, Amber Li and Abigail Ly. The 4-6 team comprised of Alexandra Balog, Jasmine Hing and Alicia To.

Both teams will be attending the International final on 9 December. We congratulate these students and wish them every success for the final.
