Social sport at Abbotsleigh

The Abbotsleigh Sports Precinct is pleased to offer women's and mixed netball, badminton and 3 on 3 basketball. Read on to find the sport for you. 

 

Netball
Social netball - Tuesday nights
  • Women's and mixed teams
  • Referees will be supplied for each game
  • All players must sign on at reception prior to each game
  • Netball games consist of four 10 minute quarters
  • Undercover parking is available at the venue. Enter via gate 1A Ada Avenue
  • Uniforms not required
  • Positional bibs provided
  • Games commence at 7.20 pm, 8.10 pm and 9 pm

Badminton
Social - Monday nights
  • Players must be aged 16+ and no experience is required. All levels are welcome.
  • Play from 7.30-10 pm in the Sports Hall. All matches are one set and played as doubles.
  • Racquets available on loan to anyone who wishes to give it a try.
  • Payment of $15 per person required on arrival at reception.

Competition - Thursday nights
  • Play from 8-10.30 pm in the Sports Hall
  • Four players per team - male, female or mixed
  • Minimum ten matches
  • $600 per team

Basketball 
3 on 3 competition - Monday nights

Fun and fast basketball with a difference now at the Abbotsleigh Sports Precinct.

  • Men's, women's and unisex divisions (16+ years)
  • Minimum of three, maximum of four players per team
  • Games of two 15 minute halves
  • All abilities

Venue hire

The Sports Precinct is also available for hire. To enquire about a booking, email Chris Ohlback. Please provide as much detail as possible about your booking so we can be helpful with your enquiry.

Venues include:

Sports Hall
Three indoor courts, each with line marking for netball, basketball and four badminton courts.

Synthetic field
Marked out for football and hockey all year round.

Gymnasium
A multi purpose space suitable for netball, basketball, badminton, indoor hockey and futsal.
