Abbotsleigh Science Association

The Abbotsleigh Science Association is a parent group that aims to assist the School and the Science Department staff in encouraging the study of Science and its pursuit as a career by the girls. Members often have a background or professional commitment to scientific endeavour, covering a wide range of disciplines, and provides the School with links to the local scientific community. All parents with an interest in the importance of Science education are welcome to contribute. 

 

The Association is involved in the ‘Experimentor’ program to assist Years 10 and 11 girls with their Science research projects. It also organises the annual Science Seminar attended by girls and interested parents. 

 

Meetings are open to all School parents. Meetings are held once every two months on a Monday night in the Reception area of the Senior School, commencing at 8 pm. Upcoming events, meeting dates and other news and information can be found on the Parent Portal or in The Shuttle.
