Drawing and Painting
Abbotsleigh girls Years 7–12
Painting is drawing with a brush and many basic principles are true for both, so the two easily combine into one course. This drawing and painting program provides stimulus for students to expand their creativity in visual arts in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. A variety of techniques are developed and the skills involved form the basis for many other art forms.
Fashion and Design
Abbotsleigh girls Years 7–12
The Fashion & Design course provides opportunities for all girls from beginners to experienced students to develop and refine their skills. Girls will be encouraged to experiment with design, fabrics, trimmings and patterns enabling them to put individual flair into each garment.
As students are taught the basics of working to a pattern and are given assistance with complex design and garment assembly, they have the opportunity to meet and learn with girls from a range of age groups and extend their friendships. Girls will be encouraged to design and create fashion garments of their choice by our experienced staff.
