The Abbotsleigh Literary Festival is an exciting biennial event for both students and adults. The festival offers students from all over Sydney, the Central Coast and further afield the opportunity to hear from and work with outstanding Australian and international authors and illustrators for minimal cost.
The August 2012 festival featured a stellar line up of speakers including John Marsden, Morris Gleitzman, Gabrielle Wang and many more. Other highlights included:
- A gala opening cocktail function
- A one day conference for Teacher Librarians
- Parent luncheon with Susan Duncan
- Student sessions with 16 visiting authors and illustrators
Several engaging sessions were also held
especially for adults, with parents, friends, Old Girls and members of the wider community enjoying a range of different workshops and events.
Planning underway
