Fundraising with the Daisy Club
daisyclub.jpgThe Daisy Club is a sub-committee of the Abbotsleigh Boarder Parents' Association (ABPA) and is a fundraising body. The Daisy Club enables boarder parents to be involved in an important fundraising activity for the Abbotsleigh.

Since its inception in 2007, the Daisy Club has raised more than $70,000. Proceeds from the Daisy Club are donated to the Abbotsleigh Foundation and the ABPA can suggest areas to which the funds should be directed.

Purchase of stock
Day and boarder parents who don’t own rural properties can purchase an animal, which can be agisted at another Abbotsleigh family’s property.

Running of stock
A contract is signed for a three year term. The land owning parent agrees to fatten the animal and/or its progeny on behalf of the Daisy Club.

Sale of stock
Once the progeny of the animal or the animal itself is of saleable age/weight, it is sold and the money is directed to the Daisy Club account. This scheme encompasses not only cattle but sheep, wheat, cotton or any other saleable crop.
